My car won't start sometimes.
I have a 96 Accord and sometimes it won't start up but you can hear a click when you turn the key. My battery terminal was loose and needed to be replaced so I replaced it. I'm still having trouble starting my car up. I'm wondering if it could be the starter? I've been told alternator, battery, or starter. Someone please help.
Many Main Relays go bad which control fuel pump activation. Check for fuel pressure during start up first. Spark is very easy to check for, pull a boot and insert a screwdriver. Crank motor over holding the screwdriver about half and inch from a motor bolt.
Jump the starter by a wire from the + terminal of the battery and than to the s terminal of your starter it will rule out the battery and starter. Maybe have the ignition on to show sign of fuel.
Is there a common condition when your car doesn't start? In heat and cold the main relay circuit can expand and contract loosening the connections and making the car not start. That was one of my problems.
