Default how to disconnect battery?

Hi

I was wondering how do you disconnect a battery. My car radio is giving me a error code and I was told to disconnect and reconnect the battery. Can this be done by unplugging and replugging the ground connection ?

Thanks!

Not sure of the year/trim of your car but pulling the back up fuse is an easier option in my opinion

Yes to the question and the first reply ot it is worth considering too. If you disconnect the battery, I'd wait 30 seconds for to ensure any "reboot" sequence if any can reset.

Didn't you just take the dash apart to add an ipod adapter?

Trust me, if you are just trying to re-set the radio so you can enter the code.....pulling the back up fuse is so much easier in many ways

No tools needed.....no worries with messing up the nut on the cable....no worries with not getting the cable(s) tight....and I could keep going.

Is this a factory Honda radio?

What code are you getting?

If it is the anti-theft code you will need the reset code for the radio. Disconnecting the battery or pulling the back-up/radio fuse will not fix that error.
