replacing drivers side door, couple questions?
So I'm looking to replace the drivers side door on my 1991 Honda civic hatch, it's the base model. But what I'm wondering is, are all the doors the same? Like could I replace the door with the door from a civic sedan of the proper year or would they be different? Also would I have to re-key the new door to be the same as my car?
Thanks in advance.
Thanks in advance.
-sedan has different door than hatchback
-yes you can change the key cylinder of the handle to match your original key, its a simple clip but you need to remove the handle (by the inside of the door)

Make sure you source a 90-91 Civic hatch door as it is different from the 88-89 door. People have swapped them from the wrong year and it is for the most part doable but it's definitely not the same. I'd imagine you just want to replace it and be done with it so that's why I'm pointing it out.
