Default 1991 Honda Accord LX

When in D4 cars seems to have no acceleration. If in d1 seems fine. I didn't really try anything else. I don't want to burn up tranny. First Honda here. Bought car for my daughters first car. Any help would be great.

Is there a CEL or the D4 light blinking? Cuz if there is, I'd look into that first.

Even if the CEL/D4 doe not illuminate there still may be a stored code. Check via the two wire blue connector by the passenger kick panel. Jumper it, turn ignition to II(ON), watch CEL/D4 for code(s).

Took the TCU out and found a smoked resistor. Went to a junk yard and found a 94 accord. Installed it and all is well. Cost me $27.50.
