Headlights too dim on 2008 Accord Executive
I have a 2008 Accord Executive that I bought new in Israel. I feel unsafe driving it at night because the headlights are so dim. When driving on highways, I cannot see far enough ahead to stop, if need be, when something comes into view.
The high beams are fine, so it makes me wonder about any claims that the whole assembly needs to be replaced because the covering is scratched up blocking the light.
I recently replaced one of the low-beam bulbs that had burnt out.
What alternatives are open to me?
Thank you.

Check the headlight adjustment by parking about 4 or five meters away from a wall on level ground. If your headlight lens are not clear, they won't be as bright as they should be. It's cheaper to have them refinished by a professional than crashing. Try installing Sylvania Ultra bulbs, they are much better than OEM halogen bulbs. I had a motorcycle that was hard to see anything at night, a simple bulb upgrade fixed it.
I believe the problem is fixed now. I found an automotive electrician who played with the bulbs for a few minutes and said that they were not seated correctly. My car was facing some sort of instrument that measured the height of the lights and perhaps more. He said that he thought they would be fine now. The lights seem brighter, though the real test will be driving in a couple of dark stretches of road when there are not\ other cars around. I have not yet done that.
