I bought my Accord new in February, 2008, in Israel. If relevant, the skeleton (chassis?) number on it is 208762. How can I tell whether this is 7th Generation or 8th Generation?

I did not know the generation designation existed until yesterday when I was looking on-line trying to solve another problem.

I believe that is true in North America, but I am not so sure about here in Israel. When I had some work done by a Honda shop, there was reference made to the models changing in the middle of 2008, and that mine was the older type. I suspect that that means that mine is 7th Generation, and that Europe/Middle East cars are on a different schedule, but I'd love to know for sure.

Yes, indeed. The Honda Accord Euro is exactly what the body looks like.

Looking further, it is clear that I have "Honda Accord (Japan and Europe seventh generation)". See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Honda_A..._generation%29

Unfortunately, since I am having a problem with the headlights (Thread 3233667), knowing this doesn't tell me too much about what generation to be looking up.

Most Honda parts websites will look up parts based on VIN. You can also use the Honda owner's website to enter your VIN to get specific information on your car.
