Ran the 1/4 mile at last.
1992 Honda Civic DX Hatchback
b18b1 LS motor
GSR tranny
Type R exhaust
Some weight reduction
60' 2.191
14.72@94.3mph
What do you guys think? I am satisified, and also i ran this on 13 inch bald all season tires 175/70/13 so you can tell i can't get hook up until all the way deep in third. I think i can easly do a 14.6 with some decent tires!

that's DAMN impressive!!
Keep it up, get some better tires, and who knows...maybe even a 14.5! That is a strong *** B18B1 to be running a 14.7 with such little mods...once again

I was slipping the clutch, with motors like, b18b or b20, on crap tires it's impossible to dump the clutch.
I have a huge dilema of which route to take, should i just keep building the LS? Or should i do LS/VTEC with an ITR head, i can get an ITR long block for cheap. I like the fact that i get respect from people for getting these times with the LS alone, but i also want to be able to compete with the big boys, like Camaros, Stangs, etc. so i am not sure.
With a new clutch, cai, header, better tires, lighter wheels i think i can hit a 13, or at least a low 14. With LS/VTEC i will be trying to push my way into 12's. So i don't know what to do. Also, if i do stay with the b18b1, i am going to get crower 403's with the titanium valve springs/retainers, that guarantees me a 13 sec. pass. Then i might spray a 60 shot, down the road, that's if i keep it vtecless

I dont get it. I have a JDM b20b w a Y21 tranny in an EK and my best run was only a 15.6 @88 MPH. Even though I know I can get my times in the lw 15's I dont see my MPH over 90. I wonder if the SI tranny has anything to do with? I may switch to a GSR tranny. My 60' was 2.4 and I was using 16'' Rota C-8's on FZ4 Proxes
kid I know has an si tranny on a b20b in a crx, he hit a 15.2, he chaged the tranny cause he is gong ls/vtec.....i think for just ls it is better to have shorter gears, unless u have a reson for the si tranny.

thats a damn good time of 14.7 my freind ran 15.0 in his ls hatchback with everything gutted out, but with a knocking head and a slipping clutch. glad to see someone who did decent times for that motor.
i kno my freind is building the entire head and going drag gen III turbo he's hopeign to run at least low 12's
