Default Heat only works on full hot or full cold

2003 LX coupe

a couple weeks ago i noticed my heater was blowing really hot air while it was set to the middle of the mixer settings, realized if you put it to full hot and slowly move it towards cold the air temp stays hot until i get to the last notch which is full cold, at which point it blows cold outside air. When you slowly move it back towards the hot side it remains cold until you get to the last setting of hot.

I'm used to older hondas with mechanical linkages going to the coolant valve but this is fully electric.

Any tips?

Sounds like your heater core may be getting blocked up. You may want to isolate the heater core and flush it out thoroughly.
