engine wont crank by hand when i install transmission
My engine is out of the vehicle, and spins freely when the transmission is not attached. I attach the tranny all the way in, then tighten the bolts from trsnny to engine securely, so everything lines up. After that I can't rotate the crank by hand.
- my tranny input shaft spins by hand when I twist it.
Is the flywheel suppose to spin freely , with the clutch and pressure plate on? I can't spin it by hand or with a screw driver or anything.

I've never tried this but taking a random stab at your situation. Actuate the clutch lever. Maybe the disc is clamped off center at the moment.
(not talking about transmission yet)
I got it to turn, I think the first time I put it in... It must have not pushed all the way through or something; think I forced it at a weird angle, but nothing looks damaged. The second time I installed the transmission I used my hoist to ease it in.
