Either do a better job of describing what you mean, or post a video.

So once i got the engine mounted and hooked up i started it and it doesn't idle, instead it revs continuously... its reved above 6k rpm and i shut it off so i don't blow my new engine. I've looked into the throttle body, intake, IACV, everything and nothing has fixed the problem. I hooked up my scan too and got the code P1509, which is IACV circuit failure.

You have a massive vacuum leak somewhere. Why are you swapping a Y7 into an EX? Are you swapping the complete long block, just the short block, or what?

You need to also swap the ECU, and repin or replace your wiring harness.

Ex came with a y8 unless swapped before.if it was swapped before and that may have been done incorrectly

Listen closely. The Y7 was not stock in the EX trim. Are you saying it already had a Y7 in it and you're replacing that?

Me, and everyone else, is saying that the Y7 DID NOT come stock in any EX trim level so it pretty much sounds like you're putting the wrong engine into that car.

Did you put the y7 in the car. Not the one you have now, the blown one?

If not assume it was done wrong and redo the wiring and check ecu.

Thus info is important as we can not help you without knowing this information as the car did not...notnotnot come with that engine from the factory
