Default Can't program Civic with Remote Fob

Hey guys, I thought I would get a remote fob for this curse of a Civic that I have since the damn driver side door lock is seized. I tried to program it and it's not working. I know the key fob works fine cause I tried it on my other civic and now it has keyless. I don't know what is wrong with this damn car, could this be a bad ground, blown ECU? Thanks.

The ECU has nothing to do with the key fob. There's a receiver beneath the head unit behind the center console.

Is your car an EX or have you put the wireless receiver in it? If not, odds are you do not have the receiver and would be trying to pair the key fob with nothing.

The car is a DX SE or something (Canadian car). I have power locks, shouldn't it have a receiver inside? Any idea what the unit looks like? Can I pick one up from the junk yard? Thank you.
