this is not my first Honda but it has been twenty years since I had one.looking to buy a 2010 accord exl with navi 79000 miles, new tires (1 month old) for 13000. the car is reportedly in excellent condition what should I look for? I was looking to buy a 2005 but fell into some extra cash and stumbled into this. I would appreciate some input, as I don't really have the time to do the due diligence I would normally do. I have a read a few threads and there seems to be oil use issue. which was not an issue with the 2005s I was looking at. any input would be greatly appreciated.

Honda wants 45 dollars for the inspection. 430 dollars for a complete fluid change and flush. pulled service records from honda and car fax seems to go through map assy bulbs. unsure if that is maps for navigation or map lights? also goes through wiper blades.oil changed at dealer about every 6000 miles. I thought oil should be changed every 3000 but have read 5000. this is a 4 cyl.

 

I own a 2010 V6 EXL. IIRC, there were some oil consumption issues with I4 (also). If your engine is not drinking oil, it's very much a Honda as you expect it to be. And drain & fill the (3X) ATF is also what most owners would do, after picking up an used car.


As an used car now, using your normal due diligence is the most you can do, short of a dealer review. Like any car, there's a list of issues here and there. But it does not apply to all. If you find a good used car, it's good. If not, it's not.
