Default OBD1-OBD0 and OBD0-OBD1 2 swaps, need answers.

So, my buddy wants my d16a6 from my 90 si into his 93 cx hatch. He's confident in the swap. I want to replace my a6 with a d15b vtec full swap.

Questions: as far as I can gather, an obd conversion is necessary for obd1 d15b into obd0 90 civic si chassis.

1. It is direct drop in and can I use my a6 cable transmission like I want to? And what clutch would I use since it's going out?

2. OBD conversion...The 90 civic si is obd0 and d15b is obd1 so I know there will be some wiring to be taken care of. Can I just drop the d15b and use the existing harness or will I need to rip out an obd1 harness? I know rywire sells the vtec subharness.

I've searched the forums and I really need specifics on this swap.

Any help is appreciated, thanks for taking the time to read!

1. Use your transmission and the clutch kit for any Civic 90up

2. You'll need an OBD0-1 ECU and distributor adapter. Reuse your injectors. Add wiring for VTEC. Move fan switch connector wiring from the back of the block to the thermostat housing. Add 4 wire 02 wiring unless you use the the PO8 ECU that is for the D15B since it is only 1 wire. The D15b will have the MAP sensor on the throttlw body and your car is on the firewall, use either one you want. The rest is plug and play.

Release bearing will need to be ordered separately. some kits will include this but the two will not interchange between cable and hydro. Ran into this a year ago with a Z6 swap into a '90 wagon.
