like the title says, i want to repaint the valve cover on my EX but i dont want to be out of a car while i paint it and let it dry. so i figure ill buy a used one off of ebay and once its all painted and ready to use ill but it on, but the cheaper ones say d17a1, i just wanna save a few bucks

 

yes they are the same (heads are the same casting just not drilled for VTEC or EGR ,and of course different cams/rockers D17A1 to D17A2)

i think the plastic wiring cover is only thing that says VTEC on it ,so valve covers are the same
