Icon6 Oil Pan gasket issues (93 del sol si d16z6)

So I rebuilt my engine because I had a exhaust valve burn up and after I got it back together I ended up setting the engine on the oil pan as I was working on getting it back into the car. Got it in, started, diagnosed some issues (thanks guys), but as I was driving the break in I noticed some small drips of oil that tracing up appeared to be from the oil pan gasket. figured when I set the engine on it, it over compressed and I just needed to replace it. got 600 miles on it, some good weather and figured it was a good time as any to replace it. so I did an oil change and swapped it out and it's just as bad. Not sure what I could be doing wrong or if the fel-pro gasket just isn't working for me, so before I take another crack at changing it out, any suggestions for making sure I get it right? followed the bolt tightening pattern and tried not to over tighten. Thanks guys!

Did you get the liquid gasket in the right places? Did you mess with your oil pump and replace the o-ring?

hmmm, yes I replaced the o-ring and applied liquid gasket to the oil pump but no, I don't think I put the liquid gasket on both sides (top and botom) of the gasket, shoot. it doesn't seem to be leaking at the corners though but it could be running down the sides of the pan that's something I definitely missed, thanks.

myhondahabit gasket is the only answer,
the others are all a squishy flimsy mess.
be sure to re-torque after a month or so.

I have a 93 del sol si and had the oil pan gasket replaced. It's not as simple as it sounds. Also I had another leak from the oil pressure sending sensor located just above the oil filter in the block. The drip ran down along the pan and I thought the oil pan gasket was leaking again. It's tough to see. The car should be on a lift and take off the oil filter and look for the wet spot above the filter location. Use an oem replacement sensor. The aftermarket ones can have the check oil light come on at idle. (Not enough back pressure?)
