Default bent subframe

i have a 2001 honda accord ex v-tech v6 3.0 automatic. it was in an accident worse than i was lead to believe when i bought this car a yr ago. i found out a few months ago that the passenger side of the car is 3/4 of an inch shorter from centre of hub to centre of hub than the drivers side. the passenger tire recently started scraping the wheel well during 3/4 right turns and backing up to the right. my mechanic says the frame is still bent. i contacted a frame straightening place in bracebridge called Fix It. they quoted me approx. 2 1/2 hrs to do measurements and approx 5/6 hrs to straighten. approx 500/600 plus taxes. any takes on this and if something like this is guaranteed to fix the issue with this car? please give me some input. i have too much cash wrapped up in this car to sell it for pennies and can't drive this way

Depends on what condition the subframes are in.

#9 is the front beam, from what has posted before with other curbed cars the legs that bolt back to #1 tend to bend.

This may cause #1 to bend where #23 bolts through. Hopefully it is not.

If you can get a preliminary actual estimate(not over the phone bring the car to where it will be put on a lift and inspected) on what is actually damaged, you may be able to pickup a good used #9 subframe from a yarde for cheap. Possibly cutting costs on labor.

IIRC these subframes are also known for rust issues on the 'legs' it may have to be replaced if it is rotted out anyway.

FYI front subframe from Honda costs more than the estimated fix cost.

Doubt its the frame and it is more than likely a control arm or spindle/strut issue. A place that specializes in alignments can put it on the aligner and tell you exactly what is bent.

since these guys are giving you a realistic amount of time to set up and measure the frame, if you don't know how that works, there are specific measuring points and holes in the body, that are measured from, these are compared to known specs in the collision repair manual for the car, they seem to be on the up and up, all the reference points really need to be compared to spec, before you can really asses the condition of the frame, a visual inspection can help, but actual measurements are best

well? shockingly and thankfully. frame specialest says unibody is square to factory specs. shockingly they found that when the new strut rod was replaced in front passenger, mechanic who did the work didnt tighten the nut on the bolt. frame specialist says that he could unscrew the nut with his hand. the pics show it was almost flush with the end of the bolt. i am still waiting for the pucs to b emailed to me. that is a bit frustrating.

Those nuts are notorious for backing out. You must use threadlock.
