Well just got back from a HPDE @ Laguna and it was definitely a perfect experience. The weather was perfect, the stunna count was very low, and the car performed very well for how it is equipped at the moment. The d16a6 is adequate for this kind of tracking, but it could definitely use some more horsiepowers.
Suspension was limited to koni yellows, eibach sportlines and various parts of a ES master kit (the parts that didnt look to scary to install). The car felt very neutral, did not understeer too much and the rear stayed somewhat planted through out the car.
Tires were both azenis/slipstreams and Toyo Proxes RA1/Panasports. The Toyos were absolutely amazing, while the azenis were respectable for what kind of tire they are.
Brakes are Brembo blanks, F/R Axxis ultimates and Motul 600. They did not fade at all throughout the day, I am very satisfied with their performance.

thats actually the part of the track i hate on GT3.. that curves always makes me hit the wall if i dont start braking after the bridge shadow.... anyways, congrats... and i hopei can make it to a track once someday
if you dont mind me asking: how much does it cost? did you go for the whole day? how many runs did you get in and how long did they last? how many laps would you say you did?

The total cost was $275 for this event. Laguna is about double the normal cost of all the other west coast tracks. The price includes a catered lunch and drinks throughout the day. I got probably somewhere in the neighborhood of 2 hours of track time total for the day. Factoring in that each lap takes about 2 mins thats about 60 laps. My car was co-drivered so it actually saw about 4 hours of total track time, and it made it through like a champ.

You do depending on what race series you are in...this was just a HPDE so you could really go in your moms station wagon if you were so inclined to do so
