I have a 1990 Honda Accord LX. When I turn my car off and put my foot on the brake pedal, the park lights come on. My back taillights work, including signals, but when I hit the brakes, the lights do not come on. Any ideas what the problem can be?

Check your bulbs. When i got mine the dash lights would come on when pressing the brakes. Someone had the wrong brakelight bulb in.

Verify the correct bulbs are in the correct bulb sockets, and the sockets are in the correct spots on the tail lights.
Neighbor had some form of Toyota-Lexus, they had the Brake sockets in the backup lamp spot, back up lamps in the indicator, and indicator in the brake spot. In her defense the sockets were very close in shape and the harness allowed for this gross mismatch.
