H22a combined with d series transmission
Good morning guys I'm new to this forum I need some help with my build I'm currently doing a h22 swap in my 92 eg and I wanna use the d series transmission I have a sc8 gearbox and I I wanna couple it with my H22a can I get some info on how this can be done safely?? I'm also trying to get ground clearance cuz I don't want my car to be high...
Some info on why it's become MUCH harder: https://honda-tech.com/hybrid-engine...lable-3231279/
The short answer is it's one of the worst swaps.
The problems can be fixed if you: hack & weld the frame, get custom tranny gears, convert to a ZC halfshaft, and get custom mounts to raise the motor up. All very time consuming, and time is what kills 90% of projects around here.

Sorry bro... at least you have beautiful beaches, great fishing, and great food. Well, unless you have some fabrication skills then you are probably SOL. You can call Bisimoto, and see if they can still make you one, but I doubt they will still offer it. Is it shipping that is so expensive? I'm sure I (or many other members) could find you a B series trans for a good price... if it is just the shipping that is the killer.
My heart skipped a beat, realizing that a D tranny could be a cheap tranny solution....it may be on the table.
Now, realize that Bisi did not make his transmission adapters. They are made by Evolution Industries. Contact them, they can probably still make what you're looking for.
The only problem that I can maybe forsee with that, is if they can't make the H2D kit due to legal issues, since it was "Bisi spec". But it's definitely worth a shot.

As far as expensive tranny's go, it's like my dad says:
How fast you wanna go? How much money you got?
I always like that
Are you talking $1000 for a junkyard LS trans, or a b-series LSD trans? Surely there's options. Someone get this guy a tranny!
