94 Accord Ex Short Ram Intake
I purchased a brand new aem short ram intake for my accord and was wondering if anybody could walk me through the installation process it seems fairly easy but I just want to to know I'm doing things right, it's my first modification to it and I'm not so familiar with all the names of the parts which is why I can't go based off of the directions included with the intake system, any help would be really great and appreciated👍
Unbolt the old, install the new.
Follow the directions on how to connect the various vacuum lines. You will need to install the filter into the hardline, just roll it up in your fingers and push it into the tube. I think there is one cap that needs to be installed, instructions cover it.
When you are all done, remove the P side fender liner and remove the air silencer box. Reinstall all fasteners so you don't lose them.

My aem intake has only one thing where I can connect a hose and it comes with 2 hoses one shorter than the other I know for sure one goes here where I circled it on the stock intake but what do I do with those other hoses that are connected to the stock I take after I switch it to the aem short ram intake?
Do you have the instructions? They clearly tell you how to do everything.
If you are missing the AEM instructions, go to AEM's website and look at them there.
One hard line is no longer used as it controls the flapper valve inside the resonator/helmholtz box. This will be left alone.
The other uses that foam filter, you roll it up and stuff it inside the tube to prevent crud from getting inside.
Larger line is for fresh air feed to crankcase. Attach that line from the tube to the valve cover as instructed. There should also be a couple of hoses that came with your short ram kit. Again, look at the instructions. If you are missing parts you will need to contact the seller(if retail) or AEM.

And I think the EX has a "set up" that is different than the DX/LX....can't remember right now but there is an extra vac line involved.
IMHO, the intake is a waste of time and money....but again that is my opinion.

Yeop, part of the muffler/air damper.
I concur, on an otherwise stock vehicle it is not a power adder, just a noise maker. Although if it is modified to accept the factory Helmholtz chamber it may reduce or eliminate the noise.
However it does add a bit of underhood help.
1. Reduces complexity of the intake system in the form of less parts to break with the funky air chamber silencer box thing.
2. It opens up a bunch of room under hood for diagnostic/servicing.
3. If you are a hyper-miler the SRI can be properly ducted to inhale hot air from behind the rad.
