how would you tell the difference if it has been de baged ? what are some quick things to tell them apart?

 

Engine. Dpfi manifold or mpfi. HF has a cluster that redlines at 5k.

 

vin usually tells all...

 

^^ like he said vin number if u have means of looking it up. assuming its a stock ef the seats are alot different thandx/si seats. it will be a multi port setup unlike the dx which is duel port and i believe all hf/si are manual transmissions only the dx came with an auto option

 

HF has no rear wiper
the HF radiator is not as wide as the DX/Si

 

The DX/SI have those extra cargo trap doors and covers in the back... the HF is just a flat carpeted surface.

 

The HF has a fixed steering column, you cannot tilt it like the DX or Si. Few people mess with that so it's a pretty good sign. There are a ton of differences, but it depends on how stock the HF is... few are.
