crx head swap

Icon6 crx head swap

Hello, I need some info on how to swap out the head on a 1990 CRX 1.5 dx no block . I have a 97 d15y8 head and block and need to put this in my 90 crx. Ihave the 1.5 head from the 90 and all of the stuff ( manafold and intake, gaskets kit ) to do this,just need the steps from a to z can anyone help on this. Thanks,Billcrx.

Look for an FSM (Factory Service Manual) online. Alternatively a Chilton/Haynes manual should be enough but isn't anywhere near as thorough as the FSM.

Also if you're mechanically inclined, you really should be able to just start taking things off and remove the head. Only tip is rotate the engine so #1 is at TDC before you start and when unbolting the head work from the outer bolts inward in a criss-cross pattern. I've recently done this and took only 30 minutes to remove the head.
