Dayem.. nobody is helping us.
Not one post to either of our posts. I checked spark by putting an old spark plug on one wire and grouned while my fiance cranked the car. Definately no spark.
Just called the dealer, Im off to buy a rotor and cap and igniter. Talked to the parts guy, he said he sells a lot of igniters. Make sure your car sounds 'normal' when cranking. If it seems to crank faster than it did before it died then it might be a thrown timing belt ( big work ).. I'll post back if I fix mine, good luck.

thanks for the reply,

i guess it was too cold last nite to even think about the snap timing belt... i did the same thing with the spark plug wire. and no spark too. got any idea how much the igniters are. i'll post back if i find out something. i'm stuck at work right now finding a ride back home.

could be the ignitor.. happened to my friend.. he was driving and the car died and wouldn't start back up... its quite common on honda's... his car had extended warranty up to 100K..so it was replaced free so I couldn't tell you the cost....

Got it!
Was the ignitor, $92. Plus I bought the dist cap/rotor, and the O-ring for the distributor part the mounts to the head ( might as well while I had the dist out ). Took like 10 minutes to replace. Scribe the dist to the head before you unbolt it, 3 bolts and the dist comes out, 3 screws on the rotor cap. 1 screw on the rotor, 2 on the ignitor and then the reverse. Think the distributor bearing is bad as I had lotts of brown ( rust ) powder on the inside of the dist and it makes a little racket now that it's in. At least she's rollin now! I can get to that later. All told, 130+ bucks and about 1/2 hour of labor. Ignitor gamble paid off.

Good luck with yours, parts guy at the dealer said he goes through a lot of em' so it might be worth the risk of being stuck with an extra good part if you have the same symptoms..

Later, cloob

glad to see some good news on your side.

talk to like all my friends bout the problem and everyone pointed at the distributor.. then i called my friend in kali and said he had the same problem last week. it ended up being a fuse blown. the ignition fuse under the dash is blown. replaced it and baam it starts.. sux diagnosting under a heavy rain..

so the car starts but now my gauges don't work. clock dont' work. defroster don't work. ....drove it home under heavy rain..on the freeway the fuse gave up again. 3 times it gave up..i had to change fuse under heavy rain so i had to fit myself under the dash. hehe. the car is home safe from the ghetto i left her last nite..

tomorrow i'll check everything.. i can go to sleep now.worry bout everything tomorrow.

thanks for the reply guys. sorry i got a lil carried away..
