Default Exhaust ?'s -- B-series engine swap into EK hatch

I'm sure it's been done a million times and i'm just not using the right words to get the results i want to see in my online searches.

I just got done doing a b series swap on my ek hatchback. All i have left to finish it is a cat and the rest of the catback exhaust.

I want to keep the piping stock at 2.130" all the way down from the header and cat to the end of the exhaust. I went to Autozone to see if they had an oem ek hatch exhaust pipe and a 2000 civic Si exhaust pipe, but they never have both at the same time for me to compare the bends to see if it will work.

My question is:
If i did get the 99-00 si exhaust system, what is the difference? is it shorter? longer? are the bends the same? I only want a stock looking exhaust so no fart cans.

any input is appreciated...

Thank you,

You *might* be able to use a 99-00 Si B pipe and cat combined with a stock 96-00 hatchbox muffler. I'm sure a muffler shop can make it all fit.

Some aftermarket systems have a B pipe meant for a CTR and a lengthening pipe meant for a USDM car. I think I remember my friend's RSR EX mag being sized for CTR fitment.

Or buy a stock CTR exhaust and cat and header from a JDM importer.

Best idea for stock look and sound.

I feel the same way about exhaust noise. Hate it. I love an intake only with OEM exhaust. Quiet when you need it to be, and aggressive-sounding when you punch it. Let's be real here, if it's a street car, you don't NEED the extra 1-5hp an exhaust will provide. Especially when most exhausts are loud at every RPM and every throttle position.

Thanks for linking the pictures.

I was hoping someone has taken the two exhaust pipes and set them side by side for comparison. EK hatch catback vs 99-00 SI catback.

I'd like a simple bolt on if possible so i don't have to take it in to a shop.

thank you,
