Default My 1998 CR-V minor build thread

I figured that I'd post to get some insight from forum members. It's also a way for me to document my mild build. The car is a 1998 5-speed Realtime AWD (or is it 4WD?).

When I got the car:

Spare tire off. Plugged the holes using black nylon caps and some electrical tape:

Rear sway bar comparison:

Painted trim and bumper covers:

Plastidipped rear license plate holder plate(?):

How she currently sits. Wheels are Work Emotion CR KAIs...I mean Rota Torque 16x7 +27 with Continental Extreme DWS 225/55/16. I reused the steelie wheel caps and plastidipped them. You need to bend the metal tabs back a bit in order to make them fit:

Next up is tint, rear spoiler, exhaust, and lowering it a bit. Right now I'm looking for suspension and exhaust suggestions. This is my daily driver so I don't want to go too extreme. I also don't want to spend too much money since the car in the garage takes up most of the modding funds. The front runners for both suspension and exhaust is the Yonaka brand (or Yo-knockoffs as some people refer to them ). Any first-hand experience, pictures, videos, etc. for both mods is welcome. Thanks for reading!

Thanks B2FiNiTY and accordturb96! As much as I'd love to talk about the other car, let's keep this thread on the CR-V haha.

Soooooo any spring/shock combo, coilover, and/or exhaust recommendations? Looking for something comfortable yet significantly reduces fender-to-wheel gap.

Ive been using the H&R coilover system on my accord because I got it new and very cheap. I love it, it feels similar to riding in a beamer..Obviously due to it being made in germany, but it can be a little soft here and there but it makes my accord handle like a Porsche and cruise like a bmw. Any stiffer and I would be bouncing like a gangster in a caprese haha but seriously its pretty dam awesome

As far as the exhausts.....heard they burn out kinda quick, gets loud and raspy. I did a custom exhaust, drop out in front of dr. Side tire, eliminated the unsightly propeller shaft exhaust dip, sounds really good...deep and throaty. The yonaka coils are hit or miss on quality and longevity. I have over 20k on my d2 rs's and theyre still performing flawlessly. Actually had them on another v shortly before it got totaled out. I love them!

Nice ride, considering one of these as I need the cargo space and AWD.
