Default 1st gen crv largest mud tire that will fit

Does anyone what is the largest mud tire I can fit on a stock 98 crv without lifts ? And without rubbing

205/75/15 general grabber A/T's will fit without rubbing. if you want a mud terrain then 215/75/15 hankook dyanpro M/T's or BFG Mud Terrain's are going to be there, they will probably rub though.

does that mean if I put on 50mm wheel spacers Im safe to use a 255/75/15

they will most likely rub over bumps in the rear when you have more than 2 people in it and they will rub the inner fenders since they're larger. spacers probably won't fix that, only a lift

I've got 225/70/15 General Grabber AT2's on stock rims.. No rub.

And yes.. Right rear in 1st pic is about 8" in air..

A little late, but I just put 215 / 75 / 15 general grabber at2's on mine. Just had to bend the metal tab/fin in the rear wheel well back.
