Friends civic spit out some kind of Liquid? (pic)
Ok my friends civic (rratedcivichatch) had some kind of liquid near his motor mount. It looks like coffe but its not. I circled the liquid with blue. The ground wire is set-up in the wrong place which i circled with yellow but that dosent matter. Anyway there is 2 blue circles 1 at the top of the pic and one at the bottom of the pic. The one at the top is dryed up but the one at the bottom is wet. Well what liquid is this? cant be oil cause oil dosent dry, so what could it be? oh ya theres some around the belt also.

Your buddies motor has a minor case of explosive diareah(sp). No biggy. It'll pass.
I wish I could be more helpful, but instead Ill attempt to shed some humor on the subject(Attempt).

I think its the liquid inside the motor mount, when they rip they tend to spit out some yucky stuff!!!

Tell your buddy that he's grounding the motor at the WRONG location. The place he has it is for the JDM throttle cable bracket.

Is that why it's circled?

Wow, I am really surprised this wasn't answered already. Broken motor mount? WTF. There isn't any fluid in a motor mount. The fluid you see is power steering fluid, the gasket broke, fluid came out, hit the belt and went all over the place. Replace the broken seal. There is fluid on the under hood as well? BOO YEAH.

The more I'm thinking of it I don't think that the 1994-2001 Integra mount there is even fluid-filled.
You guys are thinbking of the fluid-filled 1996-2000 CIVIC mounts which do break and squirt that nasty fluid **** everywhere.
I'm almost positive that mount pictured doesn't even have fluid in it - you can press that rubber piece out and press in the Prothane Urethane insert from my recollection.
...But I see no P/S gear either.
???

dude.... its your JDM headlight fluid leaking! replace it immediately...
no really, probably the mount. if u look closely, its all under the mount as well. so gotta be something in that vicinity.

definitely the mount, you can even see it dripping out of a screw hole near the mount. same thing happened to me (only three mounts and six puck clutch), good luck getting it off the paint
your buddy should get a miata
