Default Crossmember and hub question

hey hondatech,

long time reader, first time poster...

Searched and searched but found no straight answer so if someone could chime in id appreciate it.

1. Im trying to replace the rear cross member in my 89 dx civic and i have a donor 91 dx crx...Are these two cross members interchangeable?
Also, are the hubs interchangeable between the two?

Ive searched and have gotten different answers so if someone could shed some light id appreciate it.

Default Re: Crossmember and hub question

The rear crossmember (beam) both have the same part number for manual transmissions. 50200-SH9-A00. As the Auto transmission have a different part number. 50200-SH9-A50. Maybe something to do with the power steering. So if the 89 and 91 both have manual or both have automatic then yes it would work. If one has manual and the other has automatic do some more research.

As for the hubs according to the part numbers they are the same. Doesn't matter if they are manual or automatic. Used the same site for the source to check.

Good luck to you!
