I have an '87 Accord Lx-i, mostly original, plus some new stock parts. Car was running great until I popped a tire. Got a new one on with different tread and it pulled and made a grinding noise. Then I had no funds to keep the car running so it sat for 7 months. I put two matching tires on the front, smaller than the back tires, and the car is out of alignment from sitting. Guess what? Grinding is still there. I'm assuming a non-fully built car so old needs to be in perfect alignment. A shop told me it's not that; I don't believe them.

Figured I'd check here before wasting money I don't have. Thanks

I have only driven 10 miles or so with the grinding. Car is sitting again.

Pull the wheel off and figure it out, we cant solve this over the internet for you

 

Maybe a gunked bearing I suppose. I guess I'm just asking of all the things it could be. I'm not a mechanic so I'd have to know what to look for.

 

Check if the metal dust guard backing plate is rubbing against the rotor. Bend it away from it.
