Skunk 2 stealth lower control arms.
Hello, I'm looking into buying a pair of stealth lower control arms for my del sol. I have the full ground control set up, but the website tells me the lcas can only be used with skunk 2 suspension. Is this just a marking scam to get me to buy their suspension? Will it fit with my gc set up?

IDK why they say it must be used with their suspension..
But look to function7 or Function and Form or HardRace if you must waste your money on these.

You're misreading what they're saying.
If you have an '88 (which, since you're here, I'm assuming you don't), THEN you have to use their suspension. The suspension in the '88 was different than '89-'95. If you have something after '88, you won't need to use their suspension.
Not compatible with '88 model rear shocks. Must use Skunk2 Sport Shocks, Pro-S Coilovers, Pro-C Coilovers or similar.

I don't buy aftermarket control arms. Except for the one time I HAD to buy some in a pinch. I bought silver. Painted them black. I was stealth before stealth was cool.

Some reasons:
-I'm the #1 polyurethane bushing hater.
-you could opt for rubber bushings. But rubber bushings in aftermarket arms are absolute trash. They'll tear in a week...even if you clock them.
-Function7 arms are nicely made...but they're cost prohibitive and posess what I believe is a bit of a design flaw: People say they're WAAAAAAY stronger than stock and some guy posted a pic of his CRX that he hit a curb with. LCA's were totally fine. His subframe was mangled. Gee. Nice situation. I bet people are glad that their ultra strong arms used their subframe as a cushion instead of the other way around.
Even if you disagree with my logic about F7 arms....what benefit does one see from $500 LCA's?

I'm not even sure why they worry about weight savings when it comes to the suspension, that takes up most of the abuse. Press in new bushings and you're good to go.

The weight savings and possibly the stiffness is useful for a race/track build. But mostly, its part of a gimmick to get you to buy arms. Most people get them because #colour #swag #YOLO #aluminum.
I bought mine because the suspension bolts had completely seized into the bushings, and it was more cost-effective to replace the entire arm than it was to get new bushings and have them pressed
we all have our reasons. As long as they aren't misinformed reasons, it's whatever.

Yep. I needed mine "like yesterday" when I got them. Didn't have time to wait for Majestic's tragically slow shipping, and the local stealership wanted something like $170 per arm. Managed to find an online shop with some old generation LCAs in stock (don't even remember who made them), that they overnighted to me for $190.

How stealthy were they? Were they made by Lockheed Skunk works to be virtually undetectable by any given hater?
I was directed by this forum not to go with anything but OEM for my 93 Hatch. The car was sold to me with very crappy aftermarket arms, and I proceeded to destroy the bushings with under 5000km on them (ok, I have to admit, almost all of these kms were at the track).
I was going to go with other aftermarket arms, but followed the advice on this forum to go get stock LCAs from the junkyard and press in new bushings from Honda in, even though I thought it was initially a weird idea. I was even told not to go with the Hardrace rubber bushings. I went with the more expensive route and got all 6 bushings from Honda.
You know what? The rear of the car has never felt this good. It is has never been this stable, and the bushings still look brand new after 1 track season. OEM LCAs and bushings is what this car is going to get. End of story. 1 less area to worry about needing to wrench on to get the car track ready.
Oh, and the used arms I got were spray painted silver by the PO, so they are not stealth
