broke my car... sorta
Tonight I was driving home and my car started making this weird sound. It was coming from the front left and it sounded like metal rubbing metal. Well, when i got home i looked and the black plastic stuff that is under the fender has come off and is just barely touching the tire so that it makes that crappy noise. I just got my car back from the body shop today because some girl backed into the same fender, so i was wondering.. should i be able to get this fixed for free at the body shop since i am guessing its their fault? if this has ever happened to anyone else please post. Thanks
Are you talking bout the fender lining? If so, mine came off once and so did my brothers. I ended up replacing it cause it was cheap. See if the body shop will replace it, if not just go pick it up at the dealer.

Same thing happened to me when I got my car back from the body shop. I think they must forget to screw them back on.. they probably would replace it if you tell them it's their fault.

yep, body shop forgot to fully attach the fender lining,
UNLESS..............
You where doing some 115+ mph driving. The liners then to blow out at speeds.
Mine happen at 124 mph, don't ask.
BTW, if you are running a CAI like AEM, you MUST run the RH liner or else risk hydrolock.

I did get it up to about 90 on the interstate but it didnt come off until about 30 minutes later. Thanks guys

you dont have to be going that fast for it to happen, one of mine riped out on the highway the first time i had it up to 75
it wraped around the tire and pulled the car to the left like i had a blowout, it also ripped out my 3 day old vision corner
to fix it i put the liner back in and put a few selftaping screws through the liner into the front lip
