Come on now. Turn the car to the on position and check for power at the ignition coil.If you have battery voltage, Pull out your multi meter and check resistance across the primary and secondary of the ignition coil. You will know if you have an internal or external. External there is a big "box" above your distributor with a 3 wire plug. If not, then the coil is internal. Or, if you live close I like to make easy money and I will do it for you.
The lude i bought was non running and had the swap already in the car so i do not have the old distributor and the only thing i havnt checked yet is the coil the igniter seems to be fine and is ready between 1300 - 3000 oms. It is internal coil.. what is wrong with h22a distributors? Known for failures?
Ihad the engine completely rebuilt. And we are having to use a jumper wire on the starter because it wont crank over from the ignition could this problem be a relay of some sort? Im sorry for my lack of knowledge on this this is why im seeking help its my first dohc that ive owned
There are two wires that connect to the starter, one big, one small. The small wire comes from the ignition switch and connects to the starter solenoid, but the clutch safety switch is part of that circuit too.
