I was cruising around ebay when I came across a set of headlights that claim they are a retrofit of some sort. In the description it says it has both high and low beams....any info on these or any idea how they work.

morimoto mini bi-xenon's are SO cheap that im sure china has made their own version and has them on ebay. so dont expect any quality from them. most ebay products are sold to the uninformed or impulse buyers. and products in california are commonly imported in bulk from cheap asian suppliers. others are imported from expensive japanese companies. flip a coin and hope it lands "name brand" LOL

Thats a not bad price though . I would love someone to do a review on this to see quality and how well it works. When i did my conversion i lost my highbeams but i used a BMW projector that used a D2S bulb

 

I too would like to know how these compare to the other projectors on the market. I had a pair of the TYC headlights (the only ones that don't have angel eyes or other gimicky crap) and the beam was pretty decent. I am curious how this brand handles the bi-halogen (bi-xenon) functionality because it uses a single H1 bulb. I also noticed there is a mystery box that is daisy chained off the H4 connector, not quite sure what that's for.

So no one has tried these headlights? I've tried contacting the multiple eBay sellers to see if these projectors have a motorized cut off shield like a bi-xenon, but no one seems to understand my question. I can't even figure out the brand, it seems like someone took the jdm black Spec D and retrofitted some projector, as these are not on spec d's website. I'm thinking about buying them for fun to test, and if they suck then just return them.

 

If the seller can't even give a straight answer to your questions I'd say their guaranteed to be crap.

 

I finally got verification that these headlights have the flip down cut off shields for the high beam, in case anyone was wondering. I also figured out that most of these eBay sellers that have like 50,000 feedback are just drop-ship companies that use 3rd party support.... The people who answer the questions literally have no clue what they are talking about, they have never seen the product, and they are just looking at the ad and guessing for the most part. I messaged 4 different sellers and asked them all the same questions about the lights, and the responses I got were frustrating at best. Only one person I talked to was actually helpful.
