1999 Honda CRV - How to check for bent frame ?
A family members 1999 CRV was involved in a front end collision. The engine and transmission work. The PS pulley was bent. Both front doors operate and the distance between the rear edge and posts are the same. I will take the hood off and look for obvious bends and creases but I would also like to take some measurements before making the decision to repair it to keep this one owner car for cheap reliable transportation ( DIY, cheap donor parts source available , doesn't have to look perfect).
I appreciate any help with this- - Thanks

Well first step is a visual inspection, I'd have a good look at the LHS chassis where the bumper reinforcement bolts onto the chassis, it seems to have sustained some damage there.
It would also help if you stripped some parts for better visual access like the radiator and bumper bar reinforcement.
Take some measurements from reference points on the chassis, there are usually holes in the chassis rail that you can use as a reference point and compare them to a non damaged CRV.
I'm not sure if you can easily get access to chassis dimensions as opposed to measuring another car but you may get lucky in some factory service manuals.
Did the airbags deploy in the accident?
