I'm new here, on the honda diy bible!
So here's my presentation.
Thomas, 36Yo, 1 wife, 3 daughters, living in the country in France, near Bordeaux, the city of wine.
FirstHonda, a little CR50 (my god, what a hell of a dirtbike...) at the age of 8. It mades me love the RED and the winged H.
After crashing a VW polo G40 (1.3L compressor, 115ps. Brutal engine put chewing frame!), i met for the first time the Honda's Car world by buying a 1987 CRX, 1.6L 16s, the original 125 ps ZC engine. Ok, that was the way i want to ride ever!
That little car make me meet some cool people, like Loic, a PASSIONATE ( and that's the less to say) or HRED or later Type-max, all people that i consider like reference for Honda and car's build up.
Happy of my Honda's experience, I sold the AS53 to my brother ( putting him, my cousin and his friend in the Honda's fanboys Crew...)and bought a 1988 CRX, ED9 in France, with the DOHC 1.6 130PS engine, called D16A9.
I began to optimize it, with the help of Loic, and started to do some trackdays. The revelation!! And the only thing that I'll think for the 15 next years... What to get, what to tune to go faster on the track...
Condo, house, Children arrived... So i had to be less selfish...
Sold the CRX, got some Father's car... Boring cars to say the less...
And one day, my brother becoming a mechanic with a lots of good business coming to him, he made me buy a 2006 Accord, diesel (the France's fashion at a time) 2.2 icdti, 140 ps. A full option one (called executive here). What a car!! Good torque, really comfy. Besides i began doing trackday with a ninja 750. Honda AND Circuit... I was back in the Game!
The Ninja, now mat black painted and on pirelli slicks. note my ol'good truck, the renault trafic! A shitty truck by the way...
I bought a civic EG 1.3 without any options and thought of an optimization. So i bought an 1999 EK B16A2 and planned to swap the entire Ek in the EG. But Loic (Him again!) and Max begged me to not do that to a 2nd generation EK.
So, now the plan is to swap another B16A2 in the daily driver EG and a B18C6 (C5 by your side of the world) in the EK for trackdays...
I have almost all the pieces to swap the EG, miss a tank with electric pump and i have to modifiy a P28 that i bought earlier.
The car is already on four coilover, has an ASR subframe and a DC2 rear antiroll bar, Spoon mirrors, EG6 muffler and EG6 wheels.
The inside is composed by the EK4 seats front and rear, a deepdished wheel and a skunk2 ****. the EG which needs desperatly paintjob!!Without the muffler and the mirrors
to come some strut bar, a dc2 front antiroll bar. and the EK4 in 262mm brakes.
On the engine nothing special. A 9lbs flywheel, an N1 map, a short ram in an airbox and maybe a DC2 fuel pressure regulator.
The EK4 is empty, without any "noise stopper" in it. I've put some CRX Ef seat, a deepdished (not enough) wheel, and an extended shortshifter (fake skunk). Some Spoon mirrors and that's it!
4 bilsteins, 4 eibach, asr subframe and the 22mm DC2 antiroll bar.
the Ek4 when i bought her. So afraid that the seller changed his mine that I putted it on the wrong side and rapidly gone. Advise for later : Always put the engine frontside!!
to come, b18c6 block (already at house, thanks loic) with 12.0 pistons, stock head for now, CAI, N1 map, and a 28 mm rear sway bar to work better with the 26mm front one.
4 good tires (like yoko AD08R), DC2 282mm brakes, some good pads and.. GO to TRACKS!!!
ok, i'm done! thanks to all who read until the end, and "hi" to the others!
And excuse my english... I assurely will do some mistakes on grammary!!
Thomas
