this b16 has -itr pistons -gsr head - ericks racing port job
the ls vtec has ctr pistons - stock everything else

the ls/vtec motor has a greater POTENTIAL, while at this moment the b16a might have a slight advantage in its current form over the ls/vtec setup you mentioned in its current form. And I'm sure you'll continue to modify either motor in the future. I guess the question is does your budget have the room to reach the true potential of what this setup has the capability of doing? Or are you not that interested in making the motor scream and just want something a little faster than what you have now? There are too many variables from your goals to your pocketbook to your experience to properly answer this question

ok this is the deal. i dont have my motor together right now (ls vtec) its in peices and waiting for money to get some more stuff done.
the b16 is all put together and is basically brand new this is what it is
2k b16a2 block, itr OS pistons, decked 10 thou, shotpeened and polished rods, polished crank, new seals, bearigs, rings, pistons, rods, and all new bolts, balanced with itr flywheel.
gsr head, milled 30, new seals, guides, 5 angle job, mild cleanup of seams, ericks racing manifold.
new cam seals, cam end seal, itr retainers
2k si cams
: new itr oil pump, waterpump, and brand new jdm b16a timing belt
all assembled
ready to start
so i could actually have a motor in my car
