car runs great 80% of the time but it will randomly stall out and when it does it wont turn back on untill u let the car cool down (hour or 2) only codes the ecu spits out is code 8 (tdc sensor) i just bought the car a few weeks ago and this has only happened to me a few times but when it does stall out it doesnt wanna start back up for. again majority of the time the car fires right up and drives perfectly fine but every once in a while this happens and leavs me stranded for a few hours..... please help !!!!

 

car is a 1990 acura integra b18a1 if it maks any differnce. would lik any feed back befor i go blowing $ of parts plan on checking some wires tomorrow to see if i have any shorts that may be causing the problem but would like any kind of help possible

 

Okkay so today ive come to the conclusion that its only warm starts when it won't fire back up. If tha car is cold it starts rightup and runs fine untill i shut it off then i have to wait for it to cool down untill i can start it back up again and when i finally get it started it runs perfectly fine

 

I would swap in another working distributor and see if that fixes it since its throwing a tdc code which could be your issue. The tdc sensor is inside the distributor.

 

You need fuel, spark and compression for the engine to run, compression is not an intermittent thing so it is unlikely the problem, you either have no fuel or no spark, have you checked to see what is missing?

I agree with holmesnmanny a code for TDC could be the problem.94
