Default 94 turbo accord....

Hey guys was just wanting to get your opinion on if I should turbo my accord or not, only asking because it has 320k on the stock engine and transmission.

Its a 94 ex vtec with I/H/E other then that its stock with 4+ owners before me.

So again would it be worth it? Its also my DD

i think turbos are stupid most of that power wont get used. and if they arent built correctly then u just ruined a perfectly good car. but at the same time BMW is twin turboing their I6 engines to compete with the new V6's and they are pulling incredible MPG numbers wile producing 300 hp so.....

on another note a 1988 5.0 mustang produces 175 hp . kinda puts things into perspective

I am glad that is just your opinion, I would be very upset if that were true.
A properly sized turbo for your accord ( nothing bigger than a straight T3) would make your car a fun daily driver. I've had a turbocharged Honda since 2006 and I daily drive it.

haha he prob doesnt drive his car above sea level. Come to the rockies and let us know if that turbo idea was stupid or not. Turbo just makes use of wasted energy thereby increasing the efficiency of the engine. Guess its stupid tho?

on the correct note. A motor with over 300k may need a rebuild before turbo. Its lose and sloppy by then, it might work but you are at a higher risk of issue due to your mileage

If I do turbo, I was thinking a 30mm is that too small or should I do 50-60mm?

30-50-60mm what?

What is your budget? Do you have someone that can tune this for you $$$$?

I would get the compression test results before you even think about boosting this dinosaur.
