I want to put you guys in my shoes for a little bit . If you had a 92civic hb vx ,and about 4000 dollars to put in it, what would you do to make it as fast as you could(all motor) with out doing anything crazy like striping every thing out except for a seatand a stearing wheel.

do you have suspension and/or wheels and tires? if not just tires?. Daily driven? If I was you with 4grand...I would get some Yokohama AO32R tires on the stock VX's, upgrade to Si hatch rear disc brakes, GC coilovers with AGX shocks, GSR swap with new clutch, AEM CAI intake, JDM Type R exhaust manifold, and Type One exhaust. Probably not the Type One exhaust, but something custom and straight.
Tires = 500
Si brakes= about 300
GC's about 350
AGX's= about 350
GSR swap= about 3500
right there is about 4900... way over budget. You could just get a B16 swap for around 2400...that would bring the total down to 3800, which would get you a strut bar and some little goodies. Just depends on what exactly you want to do. You can only be so fast without suspension and can only stop so quick after the swap, so you need a little of everything.

 

i bought some max speed coils off of outcast and have kyb shock........so , i think i am good with that.i also have a set of 18x7enkei tuningRPOM rims(but i am looking to trade them for a set of 16in or 15in rota slip streams or c8's. i guess what i am trying to say is with that 4 g's what swap would you get(b16,b18,b20,h22a)and with the extra what kind of other parts would you buy...

Swap to a D16Z6 and build it. You can get the swap from $400-$1500. My shop estimated $3000 to build mine to handle up to 12psi of boost. $4000 to handle t up to 25psi of boost.

For $4000 you could have a brand new D16Z6. Your hp would be around those with DOHC VTEC swaps, and you'd be a whole lot lighter.
