What to look for in a 92 honda accord ex.
Alright so I have some Honda knowledge, but what should I look for when looking at a 92 accord?
I'm about to go look at one n need help..

92 honda accord ex 2.2L auto. New head gasket and seals. New valves and seals. Vehicle needs either a new transmission computer or current one rebuilt. No reverse gear has all forward gears. Needs a new battery or current one fully charged. Starts and drives.

Atleast he's nice enough to tell you that the tranny is fucked up. I would avoid that unless you know how to swap out a tranny, which I do. But I only stick with manual cars.
With most cars, you can rack up some big $$ on a cheap car if it needs tires, brakes, axles, and suspension work. If the car is in good shape other than the tranny, then it might be worth it. I don't know what would cause reverse to drop out.
Also check the flex pipe. They seem to be a common failure, if you see black soot around the flex then it's probably blown.

i REALLY doubt reverse is a tcm issue. i think it needs a transmission.
check for oil in the spark plug tubes, rear wheel well rust if youre in a rust prone area.....
not much goes wrong on cb7s other than tcms and main relays.
