Hey guys, got a serious problem with the civic i just bought. was sitting for probably 2 months and on my first drive it stalled on my way home from the gas station. It seems that the car will only start if left for a few hours, if i try to start it right after it running it just backfires and wont start. Any idea on what could be causing this problem. another note, the few times i have been able to drive it i have noticed it has a dead spot when accelerating from a stop.

Search for testing the ICM also known as the igniter.
