Replaced timing belt now problems
I recently changed the timing belt on my 2002 honda accord se. Everything seemed fine but now ihave low power and the car has begun to shut off while idling after driving. I followed the exact procedure when changing the belt, lined up tdc etc. Etc. I thought it might be a battery alternator problem so i had them checked everythings good. By low power i mean that if i have the lights on and roll down the windows or lock my doors etc. The lights dim down and the car seems like it wants to shut off. Any suggestions?
Recheck that the cam to crank timing is correct.
Should be able to line the crank to TDC and pull the cam belt cover off to check. Cam should either be 'UP' or 180° the two nicks on the back of the cam sprocket should line up with the top of the head.
Recheck any an all electrical connections, verify your CEL lamp works and is not illuminated nor any codes stored.
Was the belt replaced due to normal maintenance or did it break?

Actually we replaced it because the front seal and and another seal was leaking oil. Someone tried to seal it before with some kind of spray on gasket and it started leaking so while we were in there we changed all the belts. Ok I will double check to make sure that it is aligned correctly and Ill get autozone to see if the car has any codes stored.
got voltage issues? get in line take a number LOL
j/k upgrade ur ground cables will help some but a full big three upgrade will solve the problem for good.
the timing belt will have nothing to do with the voltage issues. only the alternator belt would. im assuming u disconnected the alternator when changing the belt.
this happens to Civics and Accords. some people even try a higher output alternator. right now i get 15.0V from my battery when the car is running. normal is like 13.5 ish

Check the ground nut that is on the motor mount bracket that was removed when you did the seal change. Double check all connections to the alternator, as mentioned above. As well as the alternator belt tension. Usually the belt will squeak if its not tensioned or aligned right, though.
