Default b16b rebuild

So I decided to start my own b16b all motor rebuild.

Back in 2012, I hydrolock my motor and it have been sitting there ever since. So this winter I decide to tear everything down and rebuild it.

Plans as of now:

b16b bore and hone to 81.5mm
using GSR crankshaft to stroke it to a 1.8
oem GSR rods
nippon PCT 81.5mm pistons
ACL std race bearings
ARP headstuds and rod bolts

stock ctr tranny

b16a head pocket port by headgamez
crower stage 3 cams w/ steel retainers, valve springs, and keeper.
skunk2 intake manifold w/ 70mm tb
rdx 440 injectors

4-1 narrow header straight into a buddy club spec 2 exhaust
go-autoworks 3inch CAI

pics coming soon!

Who knows how to fix an idle issue on a 1995 Acura integra?

Do you plan on running this setup on pump gas?

Yup, I only have 93 octane around here. The closet gas station with 100 octane is about a hr away one way.

Just curious. Thats quite a bit of compression for pump gas. It's not impossible, but you will need to compromise some tuning to make it safe...at least IMO. JDM ITR slugs or P30's aren't an option? Make sure you clay that motor when it goes together. Big domes and big cams take special attention.

I'm trying to get 11:5+ compression so i can use the benefit of the stage 3 cams from crower, that's the only reason why I'm planning to use the PCT piston to yield that goal. I'll be using s300 for tuning and i know my tuning will have to be on point so it won't cause detonation.

You can get over 11.5:1 without using the PCT's. Use JDM pistons....P30's or P73's

Either of those will allow you to really tune the car on pump gas

A familiar story, I've been sitting on my b16b for a while. Assembled in in 2010, sitting on my bench now. I wish I took some more pics before buttoning her up, high hopes for the old b once it's in. Sneaky setup, "it's just a 1.6!!!"

Will you hit the drag strip? What's the goal?

Let's see some pics!
