I recently bought an rsx type s in July had 100,000 miles on it. changed plugs, oil and filter with mobil 1 5w30 full synthetic and extended performace oil filter also mobil 1. mileage is now at 105,300. started hearing a rattling noise at 1500-2000 rpm's. checked all heat shields and realized it was coming from engine. usually was only doing it while switching gears and low gears low speeds low rpms. i jacked it up and finally got it to do it while idling. checked oil and had to add 3 quarts, noise stopped. I have not driven it and checked oil since then because of work plan on doing it this week on days off. anybody had a similar incident with their type s?
