Default OBD1 Conversion, CEL code 4, help?

Okay guys, today I did my conversion to OBD1. I converted with: P07 ecu (chipped on basemap for my engine, D16A6), D15B7 OBD1 distributor, and the OBD0 to OBD1 jumpers for ECU and Dis. Car runs really good, but here is where it gets hectic. I did a pull (geared down the third) and when I shifted into 4th, a split second later, my car ran like complete crap , CEL came on, and it felt like it was missing very very bad. I turned the car off and back on, the car continued to drive as normal. I repeated the same thing again and this time... NO CEL came on but it continued to drive like crap until I turned it off!
A: Code 4 is CKP, Crank Position Sensor, it is located in the distributors in 92-95 distributors.
A: I have checked wires.. All good although I don't have a multi-meter to test resistance.
Q: Do I just need a new distributor?

Any help is WELCOMED.

Take the cap off of the distributor and make sure the rotor is still held in place. I've heard the bolt likes to fall out. I would probably suggest trying a known good distributor to eliminate that from the equation.

The rotor is on good my friend! I found a pin that had come out of my eGay ECU jumper harness and bent, so I'm gonna buy a name brand harness and see if that fixes it. If not, I will buy a new distributor too, off eBay.
