ignition failure
Hi, new to the forum, and wondering if anyone can help.
Its the second time in 2 weeks that my 2005 Civic failed to start.
Inserted ignition key, and NOTHING!!
However, I have found (random I know) if I remove fuse number 1, under the bonnet / hood, I get full ignition and the engine starts faultlessly??
help very much appreciated.
Thanks
Geraint

Weird. Is the fuse good? That fuse is for the condenser fan and compressor clutch. Check the condenser fan relay and compressor clutch relay. If you're standing in front of the car, they are 2nd from top left (compressor clutch) and bottom left (condenser fan).
Yes very strange, lol, if I remove and reinsert the fuse the fault clears, the battery drains when the ignition is turned off, then, I removed the fuse et voila, the drain ceases....
seems as though possibly, a relay is sticking on.?.
