Sound deadening padding
so just oil it down should do it?
I was gonna leave it in, but I figure I have the car apart why not remove it. how much weight can be saved?

It's more than "just oiling it down", but basically, yeah. Let the oil sit on the tar for a couple days. When you first open the door, it'll smell like royal *******, but you'll be able to peel that **** away with a quickness.
edit. at 800 hp is it worth it?

"Worth it" is completely subjective. For a quarter mile time, we're talking literally thousandths of a second in time differences. Small enough that it isn't even reliably measurable. For full track times, same thing. If you're competing professionally, and need to win to make the rent, then yeah, it's worth it. If not, then...well, your car, your time, your money, your call.
I've asked friends, checked meat shops, medical, chemical shops, no one knows where to get it, it seems to be a controlled substance and I am losing patience... the car is a street eliminator class car with full interior me as driver weighs 250lbs the sound deadening seems to be a small thing for such stress. But I will search some more, I did it before in another car using chemicals and it was a nasty clean up after I melt the tar.
not easy, even though I know the German translation everything here is complicated and stupidly difficult, I am ready to come home, tired of this place.
I don't need pictures of you. I'm just saying, there's a reason professional racers are in such good shape. You're sitting there for hours in a chair - most people who do that for a living get fat. Race drivers stay lean because it's proven to lower ETs. It's the same reason horse jockeys are all tiny ******* - lighter weight means the horse can go faster.
Read my location, I don't sit in a chair for living, Racing is a hobby I only get to do once a month. I don't need to lose weight, and I am not really focused on reducing my car's weight, it would be cool but its not a main focus, the topic was started just because the car is apart and it was a thought that I might remove it.
I ended removing it... and weighed it. the hard padding I removed using dry ice and isopropyl alcohol.. 24lbs and some was already missing. the pad under the dash was 13lbs
wow that was a lot of useless weight.
