a lot of people go to a local shop and assume that its good
and asking a machinist if his balancing equipment is calibrated is like asking a cop if he knows the laws hes enforcing. big attitudes come into play
how to tell if the shop I chose to do the balancing will actually be better than before I brought the parts in balanced by honda

Kind of obvious... take it to another shop for a second opinion. Endless vicious cycle LOL. Either do some research and make a decision or just drop it off and hope for the best. Unfortunately, unless you have your own equipment you are kind of at their mercy or shipping it somewhere else to have the same worries. Will all that being said, it is a zero balance and is MUCH easier than calculating bob weights and getting all crazy with an offset crank like a V8 has.

I mean for parts like flywheel and other rotating balance including crank im guessing theres no way to know if their machine is on point?
if I bring a flywheel that is balanced and their machine is not calibrated right then I would be stuck with even more unbalanced parts lol
I mean people go to those shops but who really gonna check and pay twice to make sure its balanced.

Now you are getting it... that's exactly what I said. Demand the last time the machine was calibrated and if they have insurance. They might whack you up side the head thinking you need a balance. Either take it to a shop based on reputation or purchase your own balancing machine.
