Default Got my ZC Swap Running G00d

Today I replaced the coolant line that busted and after that let it idle for 20+ minutes, fans kicked on twice. Idle sounds nice, I'm going to get a timing light this weekend I think I should have it set at 18 BTDC. I still might replace my timing belt, I bought one at NAPA and it was kind of loose but it seems to have tightened up after the long run today. My mainshaft bearing is still a little noisy but I guess I'll just ride on that. Does anyone else have problems with their swap shaking the entire inside of the car? Guess its just the price to pay.

i mine vibrates, just because i didnt bend the rear xmember done enough on a b-series. but on your loose timing belt check the torque spec on the tensioner bolt again because your suppose to turn the motor over a few times then torque it, its probably a little loose, from what im guessing, check what the manual says for deflection spec on the belt. skipping a tooth isnt usually a good thing especially since it happens when you dont want it to.

derek

Yeah I'm guilty of that, I missed the part about re-tensioning the timing belt where you move it back three teeth. I'm doing a compression test tomorrow and if it checks out good I'll probably throw a Honda timing belt on it just so I wont have to worry about it. To just retension I'd have to take it apart to the point where I could change belts anyways.

Now that you mention it, my header is in contact with my front cross member, I have a DC 4-1. I'll be getting rid of it this winter so hopefully that will clear up my shaking problem. Also my exhaust is catless with a huge hole in the muffler, like 3 inch diameter hole, that might be shaking it a little too.

i don't remember my ZC shaking much, seeing as it used the stock mounts. my guess is the header touching the crossmember. my sawzall owned my crossmember to clear a 4-1 for the B16.
