what really adds hp? what really adds speed? f22a1 engine stuff? has to be naturally aspirated need help. has factory header on it now, 91 accord ex.. what really makes a difference?

 

intake manifold, cam, exhaust system, high compression pistons with boring and head porting as well. and last a tune

 

A6 is mostly the same engine, larger cam, windage tray, different intake manifold and of course the ECU. That makes 15HP more than your engine.

Slap on a turbo and you should be able to gain 40-50HP with mild boost and good tuning.

 

With regards to speed aspect your wheels you run make a huge difference. Lighter skinnier wheels mean faster road speed. Then on that subject bulk weight in the car can be a difference. Replacing parts for lightweight and removing unwanted accessories like a/c, rear seats, spare wheel etc

p12 ecu from a prelude adds 5+ hp, you can try that.

Uh what? I really doubt this claim.

 

the 4th gen prelude S came with a f22a1 rated at 135hp, the IM and exhaust are the same so the only difference i heard is the ECU heard this claim on cb7 forum and the benefit is small but with some a6 upgrades you get more out of it. (correction 10+ forgot the f22a1 accord is rated at 125hp sorry)

 

"Rated" vs "Puts down" are different things. It could very well have a more aggressive tune on it, but from this standpoint, it's moot.

 

Sure enough, looks like guys are doing it. I doubt the difference is noticeable though. Rated 10hp higher isn't going to really feel like much of a boost when it gets to the wheels.

No. But it will with one of these:
Evolution F2H Intake Manifold Adaptor | 29611

Also, a K-series intake can be made to fit with relative ease, too. Takes a bit more fab, but it can be done and K20A2 intake manifolds are cheap and pretty efficient to 7500ish RPM.

Im curious as to what size throttle body& what size injectors to run. Considering engine is stock other than the fact im changing intakes-ect May also consider changing the Cam over to a A6 and that ecu..

 

If you're going to change the camshaft, might as well get it reground to something more aggressive.

 

what would you suggest?

 

H22 SKUNK2 MANIFOLD GO WITH 70MM and bore out the intake to the same. the cam, look into webcams which is the manufacture that use to make regrinds for bisimoto.
